And The Winner Goes To...

During Alyssa's Jr. High time, she had the opportunity to be in Espirit. It is a gifted and talented program for the high acedemical students. Espirit always have different opportunities for the kids to do. Since Alyssa loves math, she participated in the American Mathematics Competion all three years; 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. She did good the first two years but this year, she really shined. The students have a "little" rivalry between North Fremont and South Fremont. They always try to win to get the traveling plaque back that has been sitting in North's trophy case. Alyssa almost made it. She and another girl tied for 2nd place. Alyssa was only two points away from getting first place. She was a little mad, but she is ok with 2nd place. She can always try next year to get first place.
